Merton Community Panel Young People’s Grant Fund

The Merton Community Panel provides a local voice to support Clarion Housing in monitoring regeneration activity, delivery of housing services and the development of Clarion’s Community Investment strategy in Merton.

The panel’s remit has widened to include new financial responsibility and it now manages a Clarion Futures community investment budget. This is an exciting opportunity for residents to work together with Clarion to improve local neighbourhoods in Merton.

The Panel’s fist grant programme will focus on support for young people with the launch of the Merton Community Panel Young People’s Grant Fund.

What projects do we support?

We offer grants ranging from £1,000 to £5,000 to organisations seeking to deliver innovative, well designed projects in Merton that support young people aged 25 and under to access opportunities and enhance their life chances.

We are looking to fund projects and activities that focus on:

  • maximising opportunities for young people
  • developing young people’s confidence and leadership skills
  • improving access to training and education based activities for young people
  • engaging young people in positive activities
  • developing resilience and supporting young people through times of transition
  • improving perceptions of young people
