Volunteering opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to expand your skills and support your local community. It’s an opportunity to share your experience, and meet people while you gain valuable work experience. Find out about all of the ways you can volunteer with Clarion Housing below.

Support at one of our community centres

With over 70 centres across the country, many of the activities held at our community centres are delivered by volunteers. We are always looking for volunteers with various skills and interests. You can support an existing project or if you have an activity idea, we can help you get it off the ground. For example, we offer a range of funding grants and can sometimes offer space or help in other ways.

If you would like to be more involved in your local community, or have some spare time to help make a difference to the lives of others get in touch today.

Digital Champion

Digital Champions help family, friends and community members to get more out of life by introducing them to the many benefits of getting online and staying connected. Being a Digital Champion is about supporting people to make the most of the internet from using a smart phone to sending an email. You don't have to be an expert with computers or a Clarion Housing resident. We also provide full training and support.

Get involved

Getting involved with Clarion Housing means you can influence services and make a difference to what happens in your home and your local community. You don't need to have previous experience just to be enthusiastic and to care about improving services at a local or national level.

Clarion Housing offers a number of opportunities for residents to get involved and we have a dedicated Resident Involvement team who can help you find the best way for you.

Ambassador programme

Our Ambassador programme provides volunteering opportunities for our young residents and is formed of two parts, National and Community Ambassadors. National Ambassadors are a team of 18 - 25 year old residents who have been selected to help us improve our services.

Community Ambassadors are teams of young people who are working with local youth and community partners to undertake social action in their communities. The programme offers accredited training and volunteering opportunities.

Clarion Housing also have a variety of jobs available ranging from apprenticeships to jobs across a variety of sectors for people over the age of 16 or anyone looking to get back into work. Explore the opportunities available by selecting the links below.
