Apprentice Site Manager - South London

Purpose:

To demonstrate an ability to work within a team and assist in all aspects of Site Management. To support the Project team in all site duties which will also include working from time to time in a central office.

Specific Responsibilities

Project Team:
  • Work as a key member of the Project Team to secure the overall success of the project by realising a programme of appointments, keeping good records and resolving disputes before they hamper progress. Proactively seek out challenging situations and resolve them in advance. Ensure your team is mindful of the customer's perspective in all works, planning and contract matters.
  • To assist in communication with the nominated United House supply chain, workforce and client to ensure that the success of the project as care is at the forefront of day-to-day operations and if appropriate, coordinate adequate support both on and off-site as may be deemed necessary with and by the Project Team.
Residents:
  • Meet with residents if required as part of the project team, assisting in overseeing the works and discussing with the residents their concerns regarding the programme and quality. Ultimately ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is given regarding the product and service they have received.
Client:
  • Familiarise yourself with the client's existing housing and support team and maintain open channels of communication, in order to support and assist the project team in their dealings with the client’s representatives effectively.
Company:
  • Contribute to the success of your projects and the continuing good reputation and success of the project team and of the whole company. To conduct yourself in a professional manner, clearly representing the company, wearing corporate clothing at all times and adhering to all H&S policies.
Criteria:
  • Math's and English – A-C GSCE or equivalent.
  • UK Drivers license and/or a willingness to travel to various work sites possibly within the same working day
  • Good IT skills
  • Resilient under pressure and understand the need for discretion and respect in a public-facing role.
  • Confidence to manage difficult situations.
  • Good communicator.
