Robert Heath Heating Limited is a leading provider of Heating Installation, Service and Maintenance. We are committed to helping our clients on their journey to net zero. Operating nationally, we work primarily in the Social Housing market with a clear plan to diversify into new markets over the coming years. This is an exciting phase of our growth strategy following our recent acquisition by Daikin, the world’s largest Heat Pump and Air-conditioning manufacturer. We have a clear objective to be the number one heating service provider in the renewables sector, supporting the full product life cycle from cradle to grave.
Life as an Apprentice Low Carbon Heating Technician
Accompanied by our experienced Service Engineers, you’ll hit the road to engage in planned on-site visits with a range of residential customers. Together you’ll carry out thorough fault-finding and diagnostics to tackle a variety of issues concerning Heat Pumps with the aim of delivering a first-time fix. Whilst out on the road you will also meet up from time to time with your team and your manager to keep up to date with business news and develop relationships with colleagues.
College attendance.
For 1 week in every 7 weeks you will attend Bolton College for the classroom learning which is essential for achieving your qualifications. Travel and accommodation will be provided. It’s a fantastic chance to connect with other Apprentices and gain the knowledge you need for the job.
Training & Qualifications
Successful completion of the Apprenticeship will lead to the Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician Apprenticeship Certificate.
Apprenticeship requirements
You will need GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English & (grade 4 or above). A Science GCSE would also be helpful
Apprenticeship StandardAbout you
No work experience? No problem! At Robert Heath we are more interested in your ambition to start a career as an Engineer, along with your eagerness to learn. You’ll be interacting directly with customers so clear and friendly communication skills are essential. A good technical understanding of IT will also be useful.
Important dates
- This 3-year Apprenticeship starts in early February 2025
- Interviews will be conducted in December/January
