Bricklaying Apprentice - Eastfields, Merton

S&L are looking for a hardworking and motivated Bricklaying Apprentice to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in construction and learn a skilled trade through hands-on experience and formal training. This role involves a significant amount of physical and practical work, including labouring duties, site preparation, and supporting qualified bricklayers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Bricklaying Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Loading, carrying, and preparing bricks, blocks, and other building materials
• Setting up and preparing work areas and scaffolding (under supervision)
• Mixing mortar to the correct consistency
• Assisting qualified bricklayers with daily tasks
• Cutting and shaping bricks and blocks when required
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Cleaning tools, equipment, and site areas once work is complete
• Removing waste and debris from site
• Following health and safety regulations at all times

Essential Requirements

• Lives in Merton or surrounding borough
• Must be aged 18 or over
• Right to work in the UK
• Genuine interest in learning bricklaying and construction
• Willingness to carry out labouring duties
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Basic understanding of site safety (training provided)
