This role is an internal role with Clarion's Response, which goes live on Monday, the 9th of March. These locations are: Birmingham, Hertfordshire, North London, Merton and Leatherhead.

About the Role

As a Property Maintenance Surveyor Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience inspecting and reporting on property repairs and improvement works. You’ll work closely with residents, colleagues, and contractors to make sure work is done on time, to a high standard, and with excellent customer service. You’ll also learn to manage contractors, keep accurate records, and understand property regulations while studying for your Level 3 Surveying Technician qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out building surveys with support from experienced surveyors.
  • Help monitor maintenance and improvement projects to ensure quality, cost, and timing.
  • Assist with insurance claims and prepare reports, letters, and technical documents.
  • Take part in training, coaching, and assessments to develop your skills.
  • Plan and prioritise repair and maintenance jobs.
  • Support building surveys and identify defects or risks.
  • Prepare basic reports, documents and update company systems.
  • Help monitor building works to ensure quality, cost and deadlines are met.
  • Support contract administration and insurance claim processes.
  • Take part in training and follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Five GCSEs at Grade C / 4 or above, including Maths and English, or a Level 2 apprenticeship in a construction/property field. Functional Skills may be required if grades are not met.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Good customer service skills and professional communication.
