Therapeutic horticulture based activities involved the use of gardening to improve physical and mental health, social communication skills and problem solving ability.
Using gardening tasks and the garden itself, we work to improve green areas in the community, whilst driving social change by raising community pride and aspiration. There is an underlying theme of supporting personal development through working with people to help them reach their chosen goals for healthier lifestyles.
The latest project supports the development of green spaces within Waterlees, Wisbech, known locally as the ‘Friends of Waterlees’ group. This project is open for anyone to come along and join in, whether you are a keen gardener or looking to learn new skills.
Get involved in our gardening projects, or just drop in for a chat at Wisbech Community House.
Every Friday 10am-12pm.
