Michelle’s welcome
It’s my hope that despite 2021 having many unknowns, we can all enjoy a more positive year. We are, as always, steadfast in our commitment to delivering the best possible service to you, no matter what.
We’re continuing to deliver a near normal repairs service and offering support. If you’re struggling, please do contact us.
With input from 2,000 residents our latest Clarion Index report shone a light on the issues affecting you and how the pandemic has impacted your lives. I was heartened to note that 86% of our residents were ‘coping well’, which is particularly reassuring to see in our older residents. For those who found things tougher, we’re introducing ways we can help, continuing our efforts to support you.
I wanted to briefly touch on the inspiring work we are doing in partnership with the homeless charity, St Mungo’s. As a cause close to my heart, I’m incredibly proud that we’re making a significant difference in our mission to get vulnerable people into warm, safe accommodation. We have secured £1.3m in government funding to provide homes, opened the doors to accommodation schemes and our staff raised more than £3,000 with a sponsored abseil.
We hope you enjoy this edition, which includes an update on our 2040 strategy – Clarion’s pledge to making our homes the best they can be – and our local offer initiative, along with new ways for residents to get involved.
