Community and digital grants

Learn more about the funding available to support organisations working in Clarion's communities

Clarion Futures delivers a range of grant programmes which support those working to improve the lives of our residents, as well as helping them stay more digitally connected.

Find out more about our Community and Digital grants below.

Community Grants

Our community grants support projects which improve the lives of our residents, and help them to thrive as part of vibrant, connected, and sustainable communities.

These include specific programmes for young people, green initiatives and more.

To find out which grants are currently live, and the deadlines for applications, visit our Grants Portal below.

How it works

Your project must support and engage our residents and their community. If it does, we can award grants to help pay for things like:

  • event fees, such as venue hire and refreshments
  • equipment, resources, or marketing materials
  • delivery staff costs or volunteer expenses
  • overheads (10% of project total).

Grants can also be used for capital costs, but we can’t support requests for 100% of capital costs unless it’s clear how the money will directly benefit our residents and the community.

We don’t offer funding for party-political or religious activities; commercial ventures; retrospective funding; individuals or projects run by individuals; or activities that exclude people by religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality.

How we make funding decisions

All applications will undergo an initial assessment by our Grants Team. Shortlisted applicants may be contacted by the Clarion Futures Team to gather any additional information. A Grants Panel will make their final funding decisions based on the programme criteria.

Monitoring and reporting success

To help us measure the impact of our grants, you have to collect information on your project’s success and beneficiaries. You also have to maintain regular communication with us and to complete a final report showing how the grant was spent and the benefits for our residents and the community. Your assigned Communities Officer will support you throughout.
