William Sutton Prize Scholarships
As part of our 125th anniversary celebrations, we launched the William Sutton Prize Scholarships, providing financial support, mentorship, and career opportunities for students in Architecture and Sustainability
About our scholarships
Launched in 2025, The William Sutton Prize (WSP) Scholarships were created to support talented students from lower-income backgrounds by removing financial barriers to higher education. This year’s scholarships focused on two key areas: architecture and sustainability, helping to nurture future leaders in building inclusive, climate-resilient communities.
By investing in the next generation of changemakers, the William Sutton Prize scholarships aim to open doors to meaningful careers in the built environment. Through financial support, industry exposure, and personalised guidance, we are helping to build a more inclusive and future-ready workforce, that reflects the diverse communities we serve and is equipped to shape a more sustainable world.

'Architecture, to me, is more than aesthetics; it’s about creating environments where people feel safe, inspired, and connected. The LNS scholarship will provide the resources and mentorship I need to reach my potential as an architecture student. I aspire to create spaces, like my local youth centre, a vital support system that embodies belonging, resilience, and community.'
