Some of our younger residents have been learning the joys of BMX racing, thanks to a scheme supported by Clarion Futures to help local children get active again after lockdown.
The project was run by COG cycling in Waltham Forest for children to practice their skills at the Cheney Row BMX track in Walthamstow.
Some 150 children attended pre-booked coaching sessions last summer, with bikes and helmets provided for those taking part.
COG Cycling is now running another scheme for our younger residents. Funded by Clarion Futures and the #iwill Fund, the scheme aimed at impacting mental health and wellbeing by encouraging children and families to get active again after lockdown.
Summer BMX sessions will be taking place from 2 August – 29 August.
