This opportunity offers a fully funded, seven‑day, face‑to‑face programme designed to give you the essential skills, qualifications and confidence to begin your professional journey in security.
What the free programme includes
Once enrolled, this comprehensive course provides:
- 7 days of in‑person training, plus online learning.
- Your SIA Door Supervisor Licence included (for eligible candidates).
- Emergency First Aid & Counter-Terrorism training.
- Four mandatory Door Supervisor modules.
- Work experience and guaranteed access to live job vacancies on completion.
This programme is built to give you the knowledge, practical experience, and support you need to confidently progress into a security role.
Take your first step
All candidates must attend an assessment day before joining the course.
Assessment day
When: Tuesday, 24 March 2026 at 10am or 1pm
Where: Training4Employment Centre
During this session, you will be assessed on your SIA licence eligibility, required ID, and Level 1 English literacy skills.
What you must bring
To be considered for the course, you’ll need to bring the following to your assessment session:
- Three passport‑sized good‑quality colour photographs.
- Passport / UK Birth Certificate / UK Biometric Residence Permit.
- Driving Licence or recent (within 3 months) utility bill or bank statement.
- A laptop (required for the online learning component).
Eligibility
To join the course, candidates must:
- Be 18 or over.
- Pass an identity check and criminal record check.
- Be physically capable of completing all practical assessments.
- Have at least Level 1 English, demonstrating effective communication.
- Live in Birmingham.
Successful candidates who meet the criteria will be offered a place on the 7‑Day SIA Door Supervisor Course, starting Friday 27 March 2026.
