We are committed to providing safe, well-maintained homes for our residents and delivering services to a good standard. The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) checks how well we do this across three areas: consumer standards, governance and financial viability.
On this page we outline:
Why these standards matter
These standards protect your rights and make sure you have a safe home and a landlord who listens.
Your voice matters, and these standards give you more power to influence decisions, raise issues, and hold us accountable. Resident feedback and involvement is central to our approach, helping to shape services and make the improvements that you need.
At Clarion, we believe being a good landlord means more than providing homes – it’s about making a difference for our residents and communities. These standards help us do that by focusing on respect, safety, and fairness in everything we do.
How we’re meeting the standards
Last year the RSH carried out their inspection of Clarion across three key categories.
Each category has four grades, from grade 4 being the lowest up to grade 1, the highest rating.
In October 2025, the RSH awarded us:
- Consumer grade: C2
- Governance grade: G1
- Financial viability regrade: V1
This is the first time we have been graded for Consumer standards.
The C2 grading confirms the overall safety of our homes, while recognising there are areas of improvement needed in how we deliver our services to you, our residents.
We don’t just want to do well, we want to do better and are actively working towards C1 grade.
We have mapped out a 12 month action plan, and will provide quarterly updates on this page to hold ourselves accountable.
How we're making improvements
Our action plan details what we want to improve, how we’re going to do it, and when - with clear goals for each quarter.
Resident review is central to our approach, with the Resident Committee playing a key role, alongside dedicated resident engagement groups and ongoing feedback processes.
Below we spotlight three action plan priorities, to demonstrate our approach and why it matters to make improvements in these areas.
