Meet new business owner Jess
Jess was working in a completely different industry before deciding to go to college and complete Level 2 and 3 diplomas in dog grooming.
While at college, she heard about the Re:Train grant which gave her the support, guidance, and funds needed to set up her own business.
A dedicated Employment Support Officer helped Jess through every step of the journey, assisting with the complicated parts of setting up a business, like financial forecasting.
Jess originally planned to get a job in a dog salon after college, but after setting up ‘Fresh Pets Mobile Grooming’, she can now work around her daughter’s school schedule and take time off when she needs.
