Grants available for South London summer projects

Clarion Futures

With national restrictions easing and warmer months approaching, it’s time to gear up for a fun-filled summer! And what better way is there to celebrate than by encouraging the community to come together in the great outdoors?

Clarion Futures are offering grants of up to £500 for projects and activities based outside to community and voluntary organisations serving residents in South London, including tenant and resident associations.

Taking place between July and August 2021, these projects must utilise the green and open spaces in your area and encourage people to embrace being outdoors. In addition, they need to provide an enriching opportunity for residents and give them the chance to come together, while also benefitting the community in which they live.

We’re ready to be inspired, so feel free to be as innovative and creative as you like. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Enhance health and wellbeing by hosting a community sports day, nature walks or cycle rides
  • Bring the community together with a picnic in the park, celebrating food from around the world
  • Provide an opportunity to learn something new, such as mastering a musical instrument or arts and crafts
  • Improve your community’s open spaces through volunteering activities, including litter picking sessions, tree planting or community art.

How to apply

The grant is open to community and voluntary organisations that work with Clarion residents and their communities in Bromley, Croydon, Kingston, Lewisham, Merton, Southwark and Sutton.

For more information or to request an application form, please email LivingWellTogether@myclarionhousing.com. The closing date is 5pm on Friday 25 June 2021. Successful applications will be notified via email by Friday 2 July 2021.
