Helping our 100-year-old resident fulfil her dream

Clarion

We were delighted to support one of our residents in achieving her lifelong dream of curating a poetry book with her work.

Jacqueline Bormond, aged 100, has chronicled her remarkable life and key world events in her poetry over several decades. Having written more than 500 poems, Jacqueline’s dedication to her craft has even earnt her recognition from Queen Elizabeth II.

It’s always been one of Jacqueline’s dreams to publish a poetry book with her work, and we have been able to help turn her dream into reality for all to enjoy.

Michelle Reynolds, Chief Customer Officer, joined colleagues in delivering the poetry book to Jacqueline, and said:

"I have absolutely loved reading Jacqueline’s poetry. Seeing the smile on her face when we delivered the poetry book to her is a lovely reminder of how small gestures can really make a difference in our customers' lives.”
