Bringing digital support, skills and smiles to Anerley

Clarion

Clarion Futures’ Digital Support team joined forces with Clear Community Web and a host of local partners, to host a lively and informative Digital Horizons event at Anerley Town Hall. Over 110 local residents came together to learn, connect, and take away practical tools for safer, smarter online living.

Digital support

From internet safety and scam awareness to advice on saving money online, the event offered something for everyone. The Digital Support team delivered:

  • an overview of our free support services, including digital device loans, skills training, and £5,000 grant funding to set up local Digital Hubs.
  • a bite-sized version of our popular “Shopping and Saving Money Online” workshop, complete with 10 top tips for safe shopping.
  • take-home handouts linking to training opportunities, online safety resources, and money-saving tools.

The afternoon ended on a high note with a fun Kahoot quiz on the big screen. Residents competed using their smartphones, with prizes for the top three winners.

The day wasn’t just about sharing information, it was about making a difference. Residents left with practical tips, new opportunities, and a better understanding of how Clarion Futures can help.
