Helping residents step into employment success

Clarion

Many residents seeking work face a daunting journey, uncertain about how to present themselves to employers and lacking in confidence.

Thanks to a new partnership between Step8Up and Clarion Futures, residents now have access to tailored support that makes a real difference.

Practical tools and ongoing guidance

Clarion Futures, Clarion Housing Group's charitable arm, has joined forces with Step8Up to deliver employability sessions as part of their skills bootcamp. Skills to develop include:

  • CV writing
  • job applications
  • interview techniques
  • and even guidance on using AI tools effectively.

Before joining the bootcamp, several participants felt stuck, unsure how to move forward in their job search - but as Clarion Futures Employment Support Officer, Hannah Bowen, explains, this wraparound approach ensures no one is left behind:

“We’re there from first step to job offer - and beyond. Our 1-1 support continues as residents settle into work.”

The impact: confidence, skills and new opportunities

Residents completing the bootcamp emerge with renewed confidence, sharper skills, and a clear path to employment. CEO of Step8Up, Jeev Sahoo, adds:

“Clarion Futures’ input is vital. Together, we’re shaping professionals ready to thrive.”
