JobsPlus is a community-based service offering free, tailored support to help you find work, boost your skills, and overcome barriers like housing, health, finances, and digital access, all in one place.

As part of a UK pilot, JobsPlus aims to make getting into work easier and could shape future nationwide services. If you’re a Clarion resident in Borehamwood or Penge, our team is here to help you reach your employment potential and improve your wellbeing.

Whether it’s your first job, a career change, or gaining new skills, start by talking to our friendly JobsPlus officers. They’ll provide personalised advice, match you with roles that fit your goals, and guide you in a welcoming space with light refreshments.

Become a Community Champion

Community Champions is a local volunteering programme that’s part of Jobs Plus. It’s a great way for people in Penge and Borehamwood to get involved, give back, and support local organisations. Whether you’ve got a few hours to spare each week (2–4 hours is typical) or want to do more, there’s something for everyone.

As a Community Champion, you might help out with things like:

  • Organising community and social events 
  • Supporting workshops 
  • Acting as a Youth Champion 
  • Spreading the word about Jobs Plus 
  • Helping with digital content and social media 
  • Assisting at outreach and social events 

Why Become a Community Champion? 

  • Volunteer on your terms - Choose when and how often you help, whether it’s a couple of hours a week or more, it’s totally up to you.
  • Meet great people - Connect with others in your community, build friendships, and be part of something positive.
