Are you passionate about your neighbourhood and interested in helping direct funding to the community projects that matter the most locally?
We are looking for residents from Tower Hamlets and Havering to join the Old Ford Community Panel and help make decisions about funding for local projects.
This opportunity to make a difference is open‑ended, and you can apply at any time.
What is the Old Ford Community Panel?
Established in 2018 following the merger between Clarion Housing Group and Old Ford Housing Association, the Old Ford Community Panel is led by local residents.
The panel is funded and supported by Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group.
What does the panel do?
Panel members help decide which local projects receive funding. These projects aim to:
- improve health and wellbeing
- reduce social isolation
- help neighbours connect and support each other.
Funding includes microgrants of up to £1,000 for residents and start‑ups, and grants of up to £5,000 for local organisations.
“What makes this programme so special is that it’s shaped by residents themselves. By backing their ideas and supporting the groups they trust, we’re helping to build a stronger, more connected Old Ford.
This latest round of funding means even more local people will benefit, and I’m excited to see the positive change these projects will create in the months ahead.” - Matt Parsonage, Head of Communities at Clarion Futures
Who can apply?
You can apply if you live in Tower Hamlets or Havering and want to make a positive difference locally.
Successful applicants will be invited to a trial meeting before becoming full panel members.
