Grants for community-based groups

You can get a grant of up to £5,000 for innovative digital inclusion projects.

We support projects that help Clarion residents and the wider community to get online, and safely and confidently use the internet as an everyday tool.

Tackling digital exclusion

When the pandemic hit, a digital grant was awarded to Islington Healthwatch. The Clarion Futures award made it possible to provide digital online training to local residents. The award helped tackle digital exclusion to many.

The project had a particular emphasis on reaching:

those in sheltered accommodation from ethnic communities, where English is not the first language

A representative from Islington Healthwatch reported:

“One participant reports that she is more confident with her devices. She is using the internet safely, and feels better able to connect with friends now. This user received two support sessions.”
