Serving the community in Hertfordshire

Clarion

Residents in Little Hadham are enjoying upgraded kitchen facilities at their village hall, thanks to the support of our contractor partnerships.

The village hall is at the heart of community life, hosting a range of regular clubs and activities, as well as a venue for event hire. However, the building is in need of refurbishment, and various upgrade works are planned if funds can be raised.

Neighbourhood Investment Officer, Clare looked at how we could support and enlisted the help of EQUANS, part of the ENGIE group, as part of their social value commitments.

We worked closely with the village hall committee on the plans for modernising the kitchen, which included improvements for event catering, such as lowering the worktops and additional storage.Residents chose the white gloss units and fittings donated by the contractors suppliers Magnet, while Dulux provided the paint to really brighten up the space. EQUANS even donated a microwave and mugs, as a finishing touch!

Residents are already enjoying their refreshments from the fresh new kitchen.

“An amazing transformation and great outcome for everyone involved. By improving the facilities at the village hall Clarion Futures will be enabling more opportunities to local residents. This will positively impact their health and wellbeing after the recent Covid restrictions,” Clare, Neighbourhood Investment Officer

“We just couldn’t be any more pleased with how everything went and are so proud of the beautiful new kitchen; it’s really re-energised the whole team and will hopefully attract more investors for other areas of the hall that need upgrading.” Jan, Chair of Little Hadham Village Hall
