Grants available for Platinum Jubilee activities in South London

Clarion

This year, Her Majesty the Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee and in June, the nation will come together to celebrate her 70 years of service.

To commemorate this significant milestone in our history, Clarion Futures London South Communities team is offering grants for local organisations or community groups based in South London.

The Platinum Jubilee is a unique opportunity for communities across South London to enjoy and celebrate the country’s culture and creativity. Grants of up to £300 are available for groups to host celebratory events or a series of commemorative / themed activities that will have a positive impact by bringing communities together and leave a lasting legacy.

The Platinum Jubilee Micro Grant offers a contribution towards funding activities or events marking this occasion during June 2022. It is also open to Tenant and Resident Associations in the area that have a bank account and relevant insurances. Residents who wish to have access to the micro-grant will need to apply in partnership with a host organisation.

The grant contribution can be used towards:

  • Hospitality (including food and refreshments)
  • Venue hire
  • Chair / table hire
  • Entertainment
  • Activities

The grant is open to organisations that are planning events or activities which will directly benefit Clarion residents and their communities in Bromley, Croydon, Kingston, Lewisham, Merton, Southwark, and Sutton.

The closing date is 5pm on Friday 13 May 2022. Successful organisations will be notified via email by Friday, 19 May 2022.
