Clarion Housing are currently undertaking an options appraisal to consider the future of the Blacksmiths Lane estate in St Mary Cray.
We are investigating:
- the condition of the homes and outdoor spaces
- what investment might be needed or
- whether we should be considering replacing everything.
Our residents’ views and ideas about the future of the area are extremely important and we are gathering information what on improvements people would like to see, as well as their likes and dislikes about living there.
This week, Clarion will serve its tenants with a formal legal notice called an Initial Demolition Notice.
This sets out in detail the purpose of the notice and how it will affect residents.
It DOES NOT mean we plan to demolish anything.
It allows Clarion to temporarily suspend any Right to Buy procedures whilst we undertake this review of the estate and homes.
