After this date, House Exchange will no longer be available.
Why is it changing?
House Exchange has supported residents in finding mutual exchange opportunities for over 20 years. Following a review of our service, we've chosen to partner with HomeSwapper, the UK's largest national mutual exchange platform.
With over 200,000 active members, HomeSwapper offers residents a wider choice of potential matches when searching for a mutual exchange.
We're committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and continuing to support residents looking for a home that better meets their needs.
What do I need to do?
If you're currently registered with House Exchange, you'll need to create a new HomeSwapper account before 31 July 2026.
To continue searching for exchange opportunities:
- Register with HomeSwapper.
- Complete your profile.
- Start searching for exchange matches.
HomeSwapper is free for all Clarion residents.
What happens if I'm already arranging an exchange?
If you've already found an exchange partner and have formally submitted your mutual exchange application, your application will not be affected by this change.
If you've found an exchange partner but have not yet submitted your application, we recommend that both you and your exchange partner register with HomeSwapper and reconnect through the new platform before House Exchange closes.

No. HomeSwapper is free for Clarion residents.
Can I keep using House Exchange after 31 July 2026?
No. House Exchange will close on 31 July 2026 and will no longer be available after this date.
Will my existing House Exchange account move across automatically?
No. You'll need to create a new account with HomeSwapper.
Will my current exchange application be affected?
No. If you've already formally submitted your mutual exchange application, it will continue as normal.
