Join the conversation: Stop Social Housing Stigma survey

Clarion

A new survey from Stop Social Housing Stigma is asking residents to share their views on the words and phrases used in social housing.

Earlier this year, we changed the language we use. We now say 'resident' instead of 'customer'.

This shows our commitment to putting residents first. It also recognises how important language is in shaping how people feel about their homes and communities.

The new survey from Stop Social Housing Stigma is gathering views from across the sector, and you can join the conversation.

What you can share

  • how homes are described
  • words and phrases used in housing
  • how communities are talked about
  • what ‘home’ means to you.

How you can take part

  • the survey takes around 10 minutes to complete
  • it's anonymous and confidential
  • it's open to residents, leaseholders and shared owners.

Your feedback can help shape how social housing is talked about in the future.
