Families in Devonport, Plymouth, are benefiting from free and low-cost activities that are specially designed to reduce isolation, boost confidence and help people build connections in a welcoming community space.
Clarion Futures, Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) and Zebra Collective, are funding a 12-month programme that families can access on their doorstep. Based at the Mount Wise Neighbourhood Centre, a well-established hub in Devonport, the sessions are already showing positive results with more than half of attendees returning regularly.
What sessions are available?
The programme includes a new baby and toddler group supported by volunteers and residents, offering free stay-and-play sessions. Parents can also take part in courses shaped by parents and delivered by Action for Children. There are also healthy eating lessons for children delivered by Food is Fun CIC which combines hands-on cooking with fun, practical guidance on nutrition.

In Devonport, by working collaboratively with organisations such as Plymouth Community Homes and Zebra Collective, we’re able to deliver enhanced services not only for our residents but also for the wider community.
