Clarion has opened its new Green Community Home in Bromley, offering residents in South London and Kent a unique opportunity to explore greener living in action alongside a programme of free support services.
Imagined and shaped by residents, the Green Community Home is a real Clarion property that has been upgraded with energy saving features, allowing residents the chance to see how sustainable technology works in everyday life. From solar panels to heat pumps, energy efficient lightbulbs to smart controls, these enhancements help make homes warmer, more comfortable, and reduce overall energy use.
Visitors can explore each feature with support from our friendly team of experts, who will be on hand to answer any questions they may have, share handy tips on how to reduce energy use, and help people understand what these upgrades could mean for their own home.
A space to explore greener living and connect with support
The Green Community Home is part of a multi-year project designed to inspire and support residents in South London and Kent to learn more about retrofit improvements and how they can help make homes warmer, healthier and more energy efficient.
But it is more than a place to showcase energy-saving technology. It is also a welcoming community space, where Clarion residents can access a range of free services - whether you want to build your digital skills, explore a new career path, get support managing your money, or simply meet your neighbours.
The free sessions include:
- Get online for good - friendly support with everyday digital tasks.
- Jobs, skills and training - drop-in sessions to explore training pathways and opportunities.
- Energy advice and money guidance - One-to-one support with managing household costs and bills.
- Community coffee and chat - a relaxed, informal space to meet your neighbours.
- Community life - find out about joining local projects and events or apply for grants.
- Information session - drop in to learn more about any of the above services.
