Wellbeing Spaces

Stay warm and comfortable at our free Wellbeing Spaces

Winter weather can be a challenge for many of us, with its plunging temperatures and long, dark nights. Rest assured however that a cheerful welcome is waiting for you at our Wellbeing Spaces, which are opening their doors in the heart of Clarion communities.

Offering a spot where you can relax and enjoy a choice of hot drinks in a warm and friendly environment, Wellbeing Spaces (formerly known as Warm Spaces) are also a great place to meet your neighbours and forge new friendships. Alongside this, you can discover information about support services available in your local area and those that are offered by Clarion Futures. In addition, you can take advantage of a range of activities that support your physical and mental wellbeing.

Funded by Clarion Futures through an expanded partnership with the Rothesay Foundation, the charitable foundation of leading UK pensions insurer Rothesay, this new initiative builds on the Warm Spaces programme which ran through the last two winters to support people through the cost of living crisis. It is expected that, thanks to this funding, up to 60 Wellbeing Spaces will open their doors in community centres and neighbourhood hubs across our communities.

These spaces are open to people of all ages, there is no need to book, and they are completely free.

Take care of your mental wellbeing

As a Clarion resident, we also offer two wellbeing services that are free to access and available whenever you need them:

Me in Mind: a 24/7 online service that can help with common wellbeing difficulties, like stress and low mood. It offers anonymous access to a supportive community alongside practical wellbeing tools and resources.

Lend an Ear: is our telephone befriending service that helps reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation by harnessing the power of conversation. It is available for any resident who would like a regular, friendly chat on the phone or through a video call.
