Clarion

Spotlight on tenancy support

We introduced Clarion Commitments to highlight the services we offer to you, our residents, and the standard you can expect from us.

Each month we publish our results to demonstrate our commitment to being open and transparent in our service delivery. Click here to view our full performance report for September.

This month we spotlight Commitment no. 6 which focuses on the support and services we offer our residents with managing their tenancy. Additional support ranges from help to get online to specialist welfare benefits advice.

September results for Commitment no 6 include:

  • Assisted 1,557 people struggling to maintain their tenancy, including advice on moving home.
  • Supported 497 people with budgeting, accessing grants and welfare benefits, debt and energy saving advice.

For residents struggling to maintain their tenancy, our dedicated team can offer a range of tailored advice and support assistance to help manage the situation.

The types of assistance can range from help with accessing welfare benefits to maximise income, signposting and liaising with specialist statutory support and health providers, tackling social isolation; and expertise in other complex issues, which all help to ensure successful sustained tenancies.

Led by Emma, the team provides 1 on 1 specialist assistance for up to six months, to enable sustained improvements.

“With the cost of living challenges affecting so many of our residents, we are committed to supporting wherever possible.

While every tenant is responsible for managing their tenancy and complying with their tenancy conditions, we understand that Clarion has a role to play to support residents or householders with particular needs to manage and maintain their tenancy.

That is where our service comes in, by providing a dedicated specialist service for these residents to give them the best chance of success. We create person-centered action plans at the start of our assistance and will work with the resident until completion of the agreed actions with the ultimate aim of enabling sustained and successful tenancies.”
