Have you heard of a Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan?

Clarion

We want to make sure that everyone living in your home has the support they need to leave safely in an emergency.

Some people living in high rise blocks may find it difficult to leave the building quickly in an emergency. This could be due to:

  • mobility difficulties
  • sight or hearing loss
  • a learning disability /li>
  • a physical or mental health condition
  • any other circumstance that could make leaving the building more difficult.

To help support residents who may need assistance, we can work with you to create a Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (RPEEP).

What is a RPEEP?

RPEEPs is a personal plan designed to help you leave your building safely in the event of a fire.

This usually only applies to residents living in high rise blocks.

The plan helps us understand

  • what information emergency services may need if they attend the building
  • what support you may need in an emergency
  • how you would evacuate safely from your building.

Having an RPEEP wont affect your tenancy. With your consent, relevant information may be shared with the local Fire and Rescue Service so they are better prepared to help if needed.

If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please get in touch anyway. We are here to help.
