Wellbeing spaces
Stay connected and comfortable at our free wellbeing spaces.
A wellbeing space for every season
Your local wellbeing space is somewhere to connect, stay warm and supported through the winter and beyond. Whether you're relaxing with a comforting drink, meeting new people, or participating in activities to keep you healthy and engaged, you'll find a welcoming environment all year round.
Many offer access to practical guidance and signposting on everyday topics such as benefits, energy use, budgeting, housing and digital skills. Where available, you may also be able to connect with the wider support offered by Clarion Futures, helping ensure support reflects local priorities and needs.

The difference a wellbeing space can make
The heart of every wellbeing space is the people who use it. In this short video, one attendee shares how their local space has supported their wellbeing, helped them connect with others, and made a real difference in their day to day life.

Rothesay Foundation partnership
Funded by Clarion Futures, through an extended partnership with the Rothesay Foundation, the charitable foundation of the UK’s largest pensions insurance specialist, Rothesay, this initiative was first created to support people through the rising living and energy costs. It has since evolved into small but dependable hubs offering you companionship, practical support and opportunities to take part in activities that lift spirits and reduce isolation.
Find your local wellbeing space
We expect to open a minimum of 55 wellbeing spaces in community centres and neighbourhood hubs across the country. Open to people of all ages and free to attend, these spaces are designed for easy drop-in access, with no booking required. What’s on offer will vary by location, reflecting local needs and interests.

Why visit a wellbeing space?

With rising living costs and many people experiencing loneliness or isolation, wellbeing spaces offer accessible, free support designed to make life easier and more enjoyable.
While activities and services vary from place to place, you can expect:
- A friendly, welcoming environment to relax, chat, and connect with others.
- Activities for all interests: from gentle movement sessions, bingo, and quizzes to creative workshops like crafts, painting, and gardening.
- Hands-on learning: cooking sessions, games to keep the mind active, and opportunities to build digital confidence.
- Practical guidance: on benefits, housing, health, and learning opportunities.
- Energy-saving support: take home items such as electric blankets, draught excluders, and energy-efficient appliances like air fryers or slow cookers to help manage household costs.
Every wellbeing space reflects local needs and hosts a varied programme throughout the year. Whether you want to meet new people, get advice on everyday challenges or explore new hobbies, there’s something for everyone.

Take care of your mental wellbeing
As a Clarion resident, we also offer two wellbeing services that are free to access and available whenever you need them:
Me in Mind: a 24/7 online service that can help with common wellbeing difficulties, like stress and low mood. It offers anonymous access to a supportive community alongside practical wellbeing tools and resources.
Lend an Ear: is our telephone befriending service that helps reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation by harnessing the power of conversation. It is available for any resident who would like a regular, friendly chat on the phone or through a video call.
