Debt can happen to anyone

Clarion

This week is Debt Awareness Week (20 - 26 March).

This is an annual campaign, led by our partner StepChange Debt Charity, who are the UK’s leading debt advice charity.

Each year they help hundreds of thousands of people with their money worries, offering free, impartial and non-judgmental advice.

You can call them on 0800 138 1111, Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat 9am-2pm, to take the first step towards taking back control of your finances.

Getting help

This year, the focus is on how debt can happen to anyone.

People from all walks of life can find themselves struggling financially for many different reasons.

The rising cost of living means that many people who might not have experienced money worries in their life, may not know where to turn to for help and support.

If you are finding it tough to make ends meet or feeling overwhelmed, you are not alone.

We know it can be difficult to ask for help, but please don’t wait until it’s too late.

Our Money Guidance team is ready with free, practical, confidential support and may be able to offer the right guidance to find a solution.
