I hope this update finds you well. As we head into autumn and prepare for cooler months, we share a range of updates and opportunities to help keep you safe, informed and supported.
Fire safety
As your landlord, your safety is our priority. Following fire safety advice helps protect you, your home and your neighbours from the risk of fire and makes sure you know what to do in case of an emergency.
E-scooters and e-bikes are becoming increasingly popular. These devices are powered by lithium-ion batteries.
If these batteries are damaged, overheat, or charged incorrectly, they can cause fires. It is essential to:
- charge e-scooters and e-bikes safely by following the manufacturer's instructions
- store devices in a safe place away from communal areas
- never put lithium-ion batteries in your household rubbish or recycling bin.
They can ignite quickly, causing intense fires and release toxic smoke. Find out more on charging, storing and disposing lithium-ion batteries.
Always follow fire safety advice and test your smoke alarm regularly. In the event of a fire, call 999.
Energy bills
As we move into the winter months, please check your boiler and heating are working correctly, and let us know if you have any issues.
If you're concerned about the cost of keeping your home warm this winter, support is available. We can help you access information, guidance and assistance with energy costs.
We also offer support through Lightning Reach, a free online service that helps you find financial support if you’re struggling with bills or the cost of living. Find out more.
Support when you need it
Along with the help provided by our money guidance team, we offer support with managing your tenancy. Our dedicated sustainment team can work with you to find ways to help, if you’re finding it hard.
We can also support with practical aids and adaptations to help you live more independently at home – and small adaptations can be arranged with us directly.
Our performance
Our latest Residents Annual Report highlights the progress we've made over the past year and the improvements we're continuing to make across all our services. We're also pleased to end the year with a Customer Satisfaction score of 85.6%.
Alongside this, we've published our annual performance for Tenant Satisfaction Measures. Highlights include:
- Two-thirds of tenants (66%) said they were satisfied with the service provided by Clarion.
- Satisfaction increased slightly from 64% last year.
We have also shared our quarterly update on the RSH Consumer Standards – where we detail the progress we’re making with our complaints handling.

Your voice matters
Resident feedback plays a central role in shaping our services.
Over the past year, residents have helped influence a wide range of improvements across Clarion. From changes to local services to wider business improvements, your feedback continues to drive positive change.
Thank you to all who share their voice with us. I encourage you to get involved in a way that suits you.
I wish you well over the coming months, and please remember that Clarion is more than a landlord – there is support, if you need it.
With best wishes,
Kate Still
Chief Housing Officer
